Summer Lifeguard

Curious about working at the North Fork Pool this summer? We’re currently looking for qualified candidates who are Red Cross Certified Lifeguards! If you don’t have your certification yet don’t worry. You have plenty of time to get it squared away before our season begins.

Working at the pool is a great way to build experience and confidence while also benefitting the local community. We offer competitive wages, a flexible schedule and a fun and supportive work environment.

Lifeguard Training & Certification | Red Cross

Register to attend a Red Cross Lifeguard certification course at the Bill Heddles Recreation Center in Delta. The next session is running February 17 - 21. If you pass the class and are hired by the North Fork Recreation District we will reimburse the cost of the class as well as pay you for the hours you spend in both the on-line learning portion and the in-person class sessions.  More information on the next training option in Delta here: https://www.cityofdelta.net/parksrecgolf/page/lifeguard-training

If that opportunity doesn’t work for you they will offer additional sessions this spring.

Another option is to let us know you are interested in becoming a member of the pool team and we can offer a training session the week of May 27 - 30 at our Hotchkiss pool if we have enough candidates. The sooner you reach out the better!

If you’re serious about becoming a lifeguard and aren’t currently certified, your best bet is to plan on one of the winter or spring sessions at Bill Heddles.
